Commercially produced by hand screen printing on long platens (platens up to 60 yards long). The printed roll of cloth spreads smoothly on the platform, and the surface of the platform is pre-coated with a small amount of sticky material. The printer then manually moves the frame, one at a time, continuously across the table until the fabric is finished. Each screen frame corresponds to a printing pattern. This method produces at a rate of 50-90 yards per hour. Commercial hand screen printing is also widely used to print cut garments. In the garment printing process, the garment production process and the printing process are arranged together.
A custom or unique design is printed on the pieces before sewing them together. Fabrics such as beach towels, novelty printed aprons, curtains and shower curtains can also be printed because hand screen printing can produce large mesh frames with large floral patterns. Hand screen printing is also used to print limited, highly fashionable womenswear and low-volume products for market launch.
